Based on recent data, the rate of children infected with COVID-19 is estimated to be 1-3%. The study offers to assess the prevalence of COVID-19 in children admitted to paediatric emergency departments during the pandemic period in France using a national prospective study on 914 children. The primary evaluation factor will be the prevalence of COVID-19 positivity obtained through rt-PCR testing. The secondary factors include the seroprevalence of Covid-19. The results of this study will improve knowledge on the transmission of the disease, especially on the role of children as vectors.
